Our history & the future of the Harappa’s impressive menu combines tasty and exotic dishes from Bangladesh, India & Nepal. We offer a unique fusion of eastern cuisine from across the Asian subcontinent.

Our cuisine is prepared with the finest ingredients and brought to life by our specialist chefs. Management of the restaurant have combined a new cooking technique with healthy and nutrition in mind, maintaining the original recipe along with the correct ways to processing & handling of ingredients to ensure your food is always delicious, nutritious & tasty.

In our menu most of the dishes are completely new that were collected from the mogul's (emperor) family & rural areas of Bangladesh. Having the recipe & tradition we have implemented the cooking science especially focussing on the proper hygiene, ways of cooking, preservation methods & cooking techniques. We have introduced new sections entitled 'Sea food', 'Exclusive Vegetarian' & 'Easy on The Spice'. In the section of 'Chef's Recommendations' you will find a variety of our best recommend dishes by the Chef.

Our History ...

The Harappan culture has its earliest roots in cultures such as that of Mehrgarh of approximately 6000 BC. Aincient Harappa emerged circa 2600 BC along the Indus River valley in Punjab. The civilization with a writing system, urban centers, centralised administration and diversified social and economic system, was utterly cutting edge; and remarkable in it's complete lack of priestly "pomp or lavish display" that was common in other civilizations.

Modern, functional, efficient and without fuss, these are the values that lie behind the Harappa restaurant in Stockport. A fusion of aincient recipes and flavours with an utterly modern twist.

Our Tip Policy ...

All Harappa staff are paid at least the minimum wage. We dont rely on customer tips to pay them. You can rest assures that any tips will be shared equally throughout the team.
